I hold B.A, M.A, Ph.D in English and have earned TESOL/TEFL Certificate from The American TESOL Institute. As a highly compassionate and approachable teaching professional with over Ten years of hand-on teaching experience, I am confident in my ability to become a valuable member of your team.

In the last ten years, I have designed and taught a great number of conversations, composition, literature (History of English Literature/ Twenties Century Literature/ American Literature/ Shakespeare/ Literary and Practical Criticism/ Elizabethan and Augustan Age/ The Romantic and Victorian Ages/ Modern and Postmodern Literature), IELTS/TOEFL/PTE, Cambridge English Exams (FCE, CAE) preparation, Correspondence courses: English Oral & Written Communication, Grammar, English for academic & university purposes, Essay & Letter writing, Confidence boosting, Business English classes. I have also the experience of teaching students from many different cultural backgrounds, including an ample number of international students who possess a different range of writing and speaking abilities.

Regarding my classes, for example in my composition classes, the first major research paper is an auto-ethnography, which allows students to develop their own voice and sense of authority by asking them to write about their own culture—a subject on which they are experts. I then ask them to expand their cultural conversations by doing research on elements related to their lives and aspirations. I believe that by providing students with a better understanding of structural grammar, we give them fuller access to many institutions, including their academic and professional lives. I also value creative ideas or viewpoints, especially when these ideas encourage responses from the rest of the class. This semester, my composition & speaking class is composed primarily of international students, many of whom have little confidence in their English language abilities. By placing students in smaller groups with students from other national backgrounds, I encourage all students to share their expertise and to learn from one another.

I am interested in online teaching as well, and I have already used many online learning tools in my classroom, including course management software systems & ClassDojo (a classroom communication app used to share reports between parents and teachers), which allow students to access course material and grades at any time, to interact with one another through discussion questions and blog posts, and to collaborate on projects and share writing ideas. I often hold “virtual office hours” with students over chat programs or Skype, especially when they are struggling with research or utilizing library resources. Being a versatile educator, I have taken the opportunity to instruct a wide variety of students from various backgrounds and all facets of society.

Throughout the tenure of my studies as well as teaching since 2002 in different levels ranging from teaching General English to High school students of class 10th. 11th. 12th. Standard to lecturing undergraduate and post-graduate students of B.A (General English & English Literature), M.A (TEFL, English Literature) consisting of Reading Comprehension, Literary Criticism, Novel, poetry and coaching IELTS/TOEFL/PTE classes, I have always tried to develop diverse aspects of my career. Having published 10 international articles in different high scoped journals ranging from literature to ELT along with working on some books have given me a wide and rich comprehension of teaching.
